:: Ancient State of Mind ::
The term Ancient state of mind refers to the state of mind that the ancients had. To civilizations like the egyptians there spiritual elivation was the most important goal in life. Sometimes i Even refer to my paintings as scriptures because of the stories that they tell or the meaning behind them. To me art is my meditation and the expression of life.
I am very spiritual person and my art reflects my spirituality depicting scenes, stories, and landscapes of a spiritual or subconsciencs dream world it may seem. I am from Antigua a Island in the Caribbean that I personally sometimes refer to as Ancient because Antigua translated from Spanish to English means Ancient. The style of my Artwork is based of African art, Cave Paintings and Graffiti. Eyes may be The Eyes symbolize the spiritual beings who watch over us daily. I feel that I stand out as an artist because my style is unique and different but at the same time beautiful and and has meaning and symbolism behind it. Artist such as Pervis Young, Nathan Jalani Taylor and Jackson Pollock, have influenced my style of work as well.
Some of the subject matter in my art is inspired by the stories of the bible and other scriptures not included in the bible such as the book of Enoch as well as a few others; or myths and stories in other cultures tho they may not be expresses very literal or they emerge from the chaos of my imagination. my painting are divided into 2 different types. scriptures, and meditations.
